Once again I was MIA for another week. This is becoming a disturbing unfortunate habit. I’m going to blame it on watching too much TV coverage of the United States’ election and thus becoming paralyzed with depression. (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. After November 8th, I’ll have to come up with another excuse.)
I actually did do last week’s “gourdgeous” challenge, but working in reverse chronological order, I’ll start with this week’s challenge which, in honor of fall, was to do something leafy. Unlike last year, this year, I drew my leaves free hand. One is supposed to be a maple leaf—yes, the red one. OK Canadians, I can feel you rolling your eyes. I admit it looks suspiciously like a maple leaf with identity issues since it seems to be channeling an oak leaf. We’ll call the yellow one an aspen leaf and the one with the greens is actually my Aloha tangle. They don’t really have a discrete fall in Hawaii, but they do have leaves. My leaves are dancing on a “knot” tangle. Can anyone help me remember the name, I can’t find it?

Then, here’s the Gordgeous gourds from last week’s challenge. This was supposed to be two gourds, but it looks more like one gourd with two necks—Siamese gourds?

And now, for the nautical reference in the title….. My Boomeresque blog post this week was about our visit to Maritime Greenwich in London, England last month. The Royal Park there, including some of the adjacent town, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It you’re a sailing or history geek, you definitely want to visit there. And, if you’re a sailing history geek, you will want to spend more than a day.
As much as I would love for you to read my entire blog post about Greenwich, the vast majority of you most of you won’t, so here are a few photos to show you what you’re missing.

I suspect I’m not the only person with a photo of themselves straddling the Prime Meridian with a foot in the east and west hemispheres at the Old Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England.
